Booking an Appointment

An appointment is required to see your doctors. To help us have an orderly schedule and keep up with appointment time, please call for an appointment and tell the secretary clearly the reason for the visit. Please do not walk in at regular office hours. If you have an urgent issue and need to be seen on the same day, please call us early in the morning to schedule a same day appointment. We will try to accommodate you as soon as possible. Every day we will reserve some spots for same day urgent visit.

Wednesday evening (5pm-8pm) and 2nd Saturday of every month are open for both scheduled and unscheduled appointments, though those have scheduled appointments will be seen first.

For any urgent issues that can’t be addressed during regular hours, please call our after-hour clinic hot line for the schedule and location. The assigned doctor will help you and communicate with your regular family doctor afterwards about the nature of the visit.  Please limit this to urgent issues only.

Please book your appointment early to avoid running out of medication or missing a deadline for an application form that requires a medical opinion. If you have a problem that will require a long visit, please tell our receptionist when you book the appointment. Sometimes we have an unscheduled emergency, and we ask for your patience if this happens.

Please be advised that only the person who has the appointment will be seen by the doctor. If multiple members of the family need to be seen, please book appointment for each individual. Children under the age of 16 or incompetent individuals are required to have one of the parents or guardians present at the appointment. Person who have difficult communication with the doctors due to language are advised to bring own translator.

Our office fields a high volume of phone calls each day. Please understand that our staffs are very busy and are doing their best to help everyone. Phone lines are generally the busiest early in the morning and directly following the lunch break. It may be easier to reach us outside of these times. Please note that phones will not be answered during the break.

It is sometimes difficult to return a phone call during busy office hours. Please tell the receptionist what the problem is when you call, she will advise you whether an appointment is necessary.

Test results cannot be given by our receptionist. The physician who ordered your test will review your results as soon as they are received. If there is anything that need to be followed up, our clinic will get in contact with you. However if you have concerns, you are welcome to book an appointment with your doctors.

What can you do to make our clinic operation more efficient?

  • Bring your valid health card with you to every appointment
  • Make sure ALL information we have on file for you and your family is correct and up-to-date:
    • Your Health Card number and version code
    • Your address and phone number – so we can quickly reach you if necessary
    • Please arrive on time and keep the scheduled appoints that are reserved for you
    • Please bring all the medications that you are taking with you, especially if there has been some changes

Important note:  It is the responsibility of the patients to remember their appointments. We must be notified 24 hours in advance for any cancellation, or you will be charged for the no-show fees. Please see our cancellation policy. Please respect your doctor and other patient's time.
